How do I unlock a deactivated LG enV

I am planning to send a friend my lg enV that was deactivated a few months ago and I need to know how to unlock it before I send it to her. I am a cellphone dummy. I need help. Thanks

What do you mean by Unlock? The Phone lock..? The Service Lock?

She told me when she went to verizon wireless they told her she needed to unlock it. and told me to use the last 4 numbers of the ohone number to unlock it but the phone has been shut off for 3 months or more. help...lol

forgot where I read it but i think you can do *228 option 1 to program the phone and it will reset it to the last four of the phone number.

if she forgot the numbers to unlock the phone when you first turn it on to use it, not sure on that. I would think a verizon tech store would be able to unlock a phone on their network

Ok. Thanks. I talked to VErizon locally and they said it should be able to be activated no problem as long as phone was never reported lost or stolen. Thanks
