I copied 5 cd's worth of mp3 files (The entire Bible) onto an 8MB Micro SD card using my computer. They were all in the proper order on my computer, but when they are loaded into the phone, the order of the files is wrong.(For example, I don't want to listen to Genesis 1, and have it followed by Genesis 10. The first file is 0001_Gen001 (This is Genesis chapter 1). The last file is 1189_REV022.
Each chapter of each Book in the Bible has it's own unique four digit number, followed by a 2 to 4 digit name of the book and then the number of the chapter; i.e. 001, 002....
The format is such that the first four numbers are supposed to keep every Book and Chapter of the Bible in it's proper order. When the EnV2 reads the files the first four numbers do not show, and wrong order. It is a little disconcerting to be listening to Genesis chapter one, and then immediately skip to Genesis chapter ten!
Does Anyone know what I can do to fix it so they play in the right order on the phone?
I have tried renaming the files several different ways, but the problem is that the program in the phone doesn't order the numbers properly. Instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.... the numbers get put in this order: 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2, 20, 21.... But I still need to put at least an abbreviation for the name after the number so I will be able to identify the book I want to read. There are 1189 chapters in the bible, so one would have to pad the numbers less than 1000 with zeros as necessary. But I think the program may not allow enough digits for the naming scheme, so it considers the zeros in front of the number as insignificant. What I will have to do is figure out how to re-number the books and chapters the way the computer wants to use the numbers. I would love to talk with the creator of this phone and it's software. I could learn a whole lot, just like I learn from God when I talk to him and read His Book!
I usually don't read the Bible straight through from book to book, so until I can figure out how to go from 1 to 1189 the way the computer does, I made a playlist for each book of the Bible and that works pretty well. I did pray about it, and I do have to give the credit to God for causing me to get it partially figured out. God always answers one's prayers, but sometimes the answers are not what one would expect. Thanks. That is a part of the solution- but I will have to number the files like this: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,2,20,21,22....
There are 1189 chapters in the Bible, and I've got to figure out how it will work in the 100's and 1000's. I also have to figure out how to incorporate the names of the books in the numbering system. When I get it totally figured out and it puts everything in order, I will post the numbering solution!
