Is there anybody out there that can tell me if there is any ringtone software that will work with my env2? I downloaded a free trial by Magix and it said that you could text message the ringtone to your phone. It said it supported Verizon. One problem, no LG phone is listed on the software and the tech at Magix told me that the WAP did not work on the software. I was able to send it to my micro sd card but was not able to use it as a ringtone. Is there any software I can buy that will work with the env2?

Do I have to send my ringtones I want to BitPim or am I able to create them in there? I downloaded the free trial of Magix ringtone maker 3 and created a ringtone in there. Was not able to send it to my phone. Can I send that ringtone to Bitpim?
BitPIM is really just to load to the phone. Here's what I do...
I start with an MP3 that I like a part of.
I open it with Audacity (free program). I highlight the part I like and select Edit -> Trim to chop it down. Use File -> "Export as MP3" to save the new snippet.
Start BitPIM and check to see that it's connecting to your phone (you will need to have loaded the drivers and such). Go to the "Ringers" folder. Click on the "Add Ringer" button. Find the MP3 you just saved. The import window will come up. Because it's an MP3, you will have to click "Convert" first. Then you can select OK and the ringer appears in the window.
Now, just choose "Send data to phone" and only select "Ringers" in the send window that pops up. A few seconds later the phone will reset (because system files have been updated) and the ringer will appear in the list in the phone.
Note: you can actually skip the part with Audacity because BitPIM will give you the ability to set the start and end point after you hit convert. I prefer Audacity because you can see the waveform and it is a LOT easier to work with.
If you are starting from scratch... there are very detailed steps about how to load the drivers (they can be tricky) on the Yahoo Group titled "LGVXPhones"
Goto to yahoo.groups.com and search for the group name. Look in the "Files" section for details.

By the way, I just purchased a data cable from Amazon.com. It was $19.99 at Verizon and Amazon had it for $3.23 & $2.98 shipping. Looking forward to getting it later this week. I have been really pleased with the things I have bought from Amazon so far.
Download the ringtone to your computer, if possible.
Then access your favorite email application (text messaging, including videos, is required for this process to work). Then go and create a new message to send. In the TO field, enter yourmobilenumber@vzwpix.com . Then under subject, enter the name of the ringtone. Finally, click to add an attachment. Then browse your computer to find the ringtone (you downloaded). Then click send.
It will arrive to your phone in 1-5 minutes. Then when it opens (it will begin playing) click options and select save ringtone.

I haven't bought any of cables I've needed for phones from Verizon: they always charge too much and can never explain to me why I should get it from them. I saved tons of money and never had one that didn't work (I tend to get mine from eBay).
Make sure you install the LG Drivers before you attach the phone for the first time.
The main advantages when purchasing from Verizon Wireless is they carry a 1 year manufacturer warranty (if anything does happen) and they are backed by a 30 day money back guarantee. They also keep a record of receipt right on your Verizon Wireless account.

Sending my ringtones to my number at vzwpix.com worked great. It is very easy now. I just create my ringtone in Magix and then save it as a mp3. Takes only 5 minutes from start until receiving it on my phone. Thanks again for the information.
sorry guys but I am very new to this stuff. I tried sending my ringtone mp3 to mynumber @ vzwpix . com and I keep getting the message returned to me stating: Message could not be delivered to mobile.
Error: Wap Encoding Error. sorry for spacing but it kept telling me i couldnt post an emai.
