I have the Muziq and I use it as a modem all the time. However, I struggled trying to figure it out at first because the instructions were indirect and never worked for me. I have figured out my own way of doing it and I will list the instructions here. This is for a Vista based computer, though any windows format will work, you just have to figure out where certain things are.
First, you need to have a data plan w/ phone as a modem. PAM is $15 a month and you need to get an unlimited internet data plan or you will incur HUGE charges.
Step by step instructions:
1. Plug phone into USB port.
2. Make sure the phone returns to the normal screen after it indicates the USB cable is attached. I have had issues with it not working unless the screen is back to its normal state. The only thing that should be different is that it will say USB mode.
3. Click on the network symbol on the bottom right of your computer screen.
4. Choose the option to connect to a network.
5. On the bottom of the screen this pulls up, select the option to set up a new connection.
6. Next, click on the dial up connection option.
7. When the screen pops up, enter #777 into the dial up number section, then in the connection name, simply enter anything you want, I use my name.
8. Click set up connection and it will go through the process automatically. This should set it up for you and you can now use your phone as a modem.
Keep in mind this is not the way sprint will tell you how to use it, but it is the only way I have been able to get it to work. It works very well too.
If you have any questions, let me know. Good luck!

okies thabks for the answer error. i have a data plan so i am not worried about the data charges. i just am or was wworried about the minuet charges because i guess my way of thinking is that i am dialing out, so how/why am i not racking up normal voice mins using the DUN hack?
I know from using it that it doesn't use minuets. To Verizon it looks like your just using a **** load of data on your phone when actually your tethered.
I too am having the stuck on dialing #777 problem. My machine is a Dell d630 with windows XP SP3. I have tried to reinstall the drivers and used the latest 4.9.6 version and no luck. The drivers seem to be hanging on the install on the modem part. It won't finish installing until I actually pull the USB cable out. Then it says finished installing drivers, your hardware is installed correctly. I go to the modem tab under control panel and its listed but if I select it and try to open properties, it hangs the computer. If I unplug the cable again, it will open the properties tab. Then it says disconnected. I plug the cable back in and it updates and says everything is installed. if I query modem, nothing. If I try to go back to the main page and select properties, it hangs again.
The cable I am using is the one that came with the phone and charger (lg-dlc100). It works fine for USb mass storage operation or music sync but not for Modem use. Could this be the wrong cable? Is there a special cable just for Modem use. Lg's website list a different part number for the data cable for this phone.
I also tried to install on my Windows 7 machine. Same thing Happens. It tries to install the drivers and gets 2 of the 3 installed and hangs on the 3rd(modem driver) The other 2 are the serial driver and mass storage driver I think. As soon as I pull the Cable, it finishes installing but when I try and use it, it doesn't work. Same exact symptoms.
Bluetooth connection works fine. I can dial out and connect fine on both computers. So right now I set the phone to media sync mode, then drop the connection so the phone stays charging and connect to the serial modem via bluetooth.
I had the same problem, with the drivers installing.
I was also unable to do the firmware update using the LG updater software. (B2CAppSetup.exe)
I took it to Verizon for the update, they couldn't get it to update either.
They said it was Unrecognized or Unregistered i can't remember which one.
Anyway they gave me a new phone and the drivers installed correctly and everything worked with the new phone.
So if your not on the firmware version 07 then try to upgrade if your unable to then you have the same problem that i had.
Take it to Verizon and they should give you a new phone.
Nah highly doubt it's the cable.
Your phone is doing that exact same thing mine did.
Take it to Verizon and ask them to update your firmware.
They will come back and say it won't update and it says it's Unregistered or Unrecognized.
They just gave me a brand new phone.
If they don't offer to replace it just ask for a replacement.
