a quick env 1 question.

ive heard theres a way to expand the inbox to 200. but im not quite sure how to do so. can anyone explain how ? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks !

Are you refering to amount (text, pic text, etc.) your inbox can hold or the data load (200kb) of the message itself?

im sorry i guess i should of been more specific. and yes. the amount of texts my inbox can hold.

there is no way you can do this - the inbox size is a hard limit. If you want to back up your txt messages, download bitpim and save them to your computer.

well ive seen my friend do it so im pretty sure its possible...

tavenger5 is right the phone is only set up to allow a certain amount of text in the inbox it self. If your not understanding the bitpim program for your computer you can also forward your text to your email account. What service provider to you have?

I also use verizon. When your inbox starts to fill up send your overflow to your email account. For example if you go and reveiw a past text, there will be an option to reply. Go ahead a do so. In the feilds/boxes where you would normally put a phone # (XXX-XXX-XXXX)
put in your email address instead. hit send and check your email account to verify it worked.

oh okay. and this way its possible to have more than 50 in your inbox ?

Are we talking about your LG enV, right? If so I can't belive your inbox only holds 50 messages in the inbox. make sure your auto erase is turned off. If it is then once your limit of 50 has been reached then you will need to send 10 to your email to allow 10 more to store on your pho

On other BREW handsets we have expand SMS for instance from 500 to 1000 via NV item edit...

It is long time ago... But I'm nearly sure that also other Messages are handled via NV items...
So maybe investigate via QPST or QXDM for instance...
