okay, since i've had my voyager, streaming videos off the net has been a pain.
when i try to play a video on a sit like tinytube, or m.youtube. . .the video stops at 28-34 seconds.
if i hit the fastforward button, it'd unfreeze and play again, but would freeze every 30 seconds after that (making me hit ff again).
this fix is not my idea. . .i found rhis info elsewere on the net.
it's not an issue with the voyager, but something on verizon's side of things.
1. call customer support (1-800-922-0204). . .do not call from your voyager, but use a different phone.
2. when it gives you options press 3 for technical support.
3. when it gives you even more options agian press 3 for tech support for the mobile web.
4. a tech support person will get on and ask for your cell number. . .give it to him (or her! lol) and explain to him that when you try to do streaming video on the voyager that it freezes after 30 seconds of playing, and that you went into a verizon store and they told you to call customer support as they can fix it.
5. with any luck the tech support will know what to do, have you turn off your phone (though it's possible they wont make you turn yours off), then put you on hold and finaly have you get on the net to play a video. . .if the tech person knows what he's doing the problem should now be fix, and streaming vids will now play all the way through with no freezing.

some notes. . .
-this is only a tempery fix, and the freezing problem may pop up again, even after it's been fixxed.
-i've heard that streaming videos from the net (like youtube) on the voyager is against verizon's terms of service. the guy i talked to did not mention this to me. . .but be prepared.
(i actually tried doing this first by not telling them i was streaming videos. . .i just told them the net was slow and asked if they could change my general ip address. . .i hate lying, and they couldn't do anything for me, so i decided to call back and tell the trueth this time. . .thinking if they told me that i had violated the tos i'd act suprised and tell them i had no idea. . lol).
i do not know if it really is against the tos to stream. . .can someone confirm this?
-if the tech guy has no idea what your talking about, kindly tell them you need to go. . .then call again following the steps above. . .if you're really unlucky, you may need to do this several times.
-they may tell you that you need to upgrade your phone. . .i'm running the original 03, but have heard from several other people that even with the update, the freezing problem still exsists.
i told the tech guy this, but he still insisted that the update would fix this.
-again. . .this is only a tempery fix to the problem, and the tech guy said the problem could come back again.
