Is there a way to keep the external screen on?

I was wondering if there's a way to keep the external screen on during calls, it seems to shut off completely after a while, which makes it a bit annoying to have to press a button to reactivate the screen. I checked the settings and the instruction manual and the only thing I could find was something that alluded to a "Power Save" option, which I cannot find anywhere else in the manual or on the phone itself.

Anyone able to shed light on this? It'd be greatly appreciated, thanks

No, there is no way to do this. You can keep the screen on longer, but not keep it on while you're in a call for the length of the call. If it were on all the time this would waste a lot of battery power.

That's a bummer. The only reason I asked is because basically every LG phone ever does this, it just dims the backlight, but I guess I can understand how a 2.8 inch touch screen would suck battery like no other

There actually is a way. Go to ##lgservicemenu<send> (typing that in relatively quickly) and then enter 000000 when it asks for "service code". From there, option 2 (Field Test - LG), option 0 (Power Save Mode) and set that to off. Hit ok. It should say "Power Save Mode is set". Hit clear and back out of the service menu.
