THIS NO LONGER WORKS. . .MOBITV FLIPPED OUT WHEN THEY FOUND OUT PEOPLE WERE LEACHING OFF THEIR STREAMS, AND THEY SECURED ALL OF THE CHANNELS.
WAS VERY FUN WHILE IT LASTED (AND IN THE FINAL DAYS THEY HAD SOME VERY HIGH QUALITY STATIONS UP AND RUNNING).
AH WELL. . .IT WAS BOUND TO GET SHUT DOWN.

#6 | | Sr. Member | if anyone is having problems getting this to work, just reboot your phone (may take several restarts before you can get it going).
yesterday the video would play for anywhere from a second to 30 seconds, then the video would freeze, but the audio would keep going.
i had to restart my phone 3 or 4 times, then it finaly started working for me without a hitch (i've watched over an hour at a time of discovery).
another known issue, is the buffering screen comes up, but then quickly exits out of the media player.
again, this is fixxed by rebooting your phone.
and one more note, this is confirmed to work with all firmware versions (03, 05, and 07) for the voyager.
and it's also been confirmed that it works with or without ev-do. . .and since it's over the internet, it's available no matter where you are (as long as you can access the net where you are).
as proof:
i live in the middle of wyoming. works great for me, lol, there's proof enough!

#8 | | Junior Member | Okay this does not seem to be working. When I type it directly into my phone like you said, I get the same on all the channels, a commercial for mobitv. | | |

i edited the original post deleting all the how to stuff. . .it simply doesn't work anymore.

#12 | | Sr. Member | it was through links. . .heh now i can't seem to find all the info i had on this.
let me go do a quick search. . .
okay it was sprint tv. . .they didn't have thier channels secure, and so when you typed in a specific url in your phone (such as rtsp://live.mobitv.com:554/8- CDMA.sdp which will no longer work) you'd get the live streaming channel from sprint (the url i provided use to be discovery).
some guys got together, and made some nice mobile websites, so you didn't even have to go through the hassel to type in the urls. . .all you had to do is click on little buttons.
right before they secured thier channels, they even had some really nice high quality channels. . .with very clean images.
unfortunently mobitv found out about the leaking of their channels, and secured them, so they could no longer be tapped back into.
to this date, i still don't think there's any way around it

i had it working with xm satalite radio which was pretty cool.
but it runs on your pc, and your pc has to be on to work.
i've been enjoying the heck out of m.youtube.com . . .which is a mobile version of youtube, that doesn't use flash so it can be used on the voyager.
another nice streaming site (for video) is tinytube.net .

thnx. | I have ORB set up, I'm on the page with my phone, but when I click on the link to listen to the radio station, nothing happens. The page seems to load, then just stops and nothing is ever played. How did you get your content to play on the Voyager?
