Huge Memory Problems

I have the LG VX10000 (Voyager), and I've had it since Thanksgiving. The memory card, a MicroSD 8G card, has given me a few problems before, such as my phone not always recognizing when it is in, but I've lived with them. But now, it never recognizes when it is in anymore. I'm not entirely sure what happened, if it's damaged or not, but any help would be gladly appreciated.

Also, I have another problem, and this is the main reason why I posted this because I really can't use my phone for much now. I've been using BitPim for a while to load ringtones and music to my phone through a cable. Today, I tried to load some music to my phone, and it apparently loaded correctly. I unplugged the phone from the cable, went to the My Music section on my phone, and after a few seconds of "reading music database", no music showed up. Now, whenever I try to do anything that uses memory, it says "MEMORY LOW, DELETE UNWANTED CONTENTS OF MESSAGES." I've deleted a lot of things, such as extraneous pictures, videos, and sounds, and cleared my entire inbox, outbox, and drafts folder, but it still says my memory is completely full. Has any one else been experiencing this problem, or does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I can't receive text messages, and it's really important that I'm able to. :{

Re: Huge Memory Problems

It sounds like your memory is low... :P OK, just kidding - no, i haven't seen it, but it seems like you have too much crap in there (not on the SD card, in the phone memory). You may want to try deleting some ringtones as they are stored in system memory. Anything that you add through bitpim to the phone (not sd card) will use system memory, so be careful what you put in there.

I noticed some of the games people have posted on these pages are quite large compared to the stock stuff, so using those may eat up this memory... TXT messages are very small, so they may not help free up space, it sounds like other stuff is the culprit. Check wallpapers, ringtones, sounds, games, etc...

Hope this helps! Let me know how you make out.
Dan
