Want a Voyager and have two questions...

This week I am buying a new phone and looking at the Voyager, but have two questions...

1. How durable are the touch screens if I were to keep the phone in my pocket?

2. What glitches do the phone have?

OK, I lied, I have one more question....

3. Is it worth getting??

Please all answers would be greatly appreciated.

Have a good day everyone and thanks for helping me out.

Re: Want a Voyager and have two questions...

I had a lot of time last weekend to play around with one in the store. The touch screen is pretty durable but both Verizon and online stores sell screen protectors, which I recommend. They're cheap when bought NOT through Verizon.

I didn't notice any glitches yet but scan this forum for issues people have had. It seems pretty durable and a good phone if you can get used to texting with the qwerty keyboard as opposed to T9Word. I found touch-texting on the front screen difficult.

I would not carry this phone is your pocket. The screen is pretty durable, yet, every person I know or have heard that carried one in thier pocket ended up breaking the outer screen.

I really haven't found any glitches so to speak. I honestly have to say, unless your planning on using the internet a lot, or really need the large outer screen, I wouldn't get it

The new enV2 would be a better choice.

The touch screen is pretty durable in my opinion, I've had no problems with it so far. And as PetiePal mentioned before me, there are screen protectors available as well as protective covers to protect from scratches however they do make the phone slightly bulkier. Keeping your phone in your pocket may lead to quicker wear and tear depending on what else is in your pocket I guess... lol.
For me, I liked the voyager over the other phones with its similar functions. I found the voyager to be more stylish than the env, but thats just me.

Re: Want a Voyager and have two questions...

I just upgraded to the voyager yesterday and bought the screen protectors, its defiantly top much phone for me. I'm giving it to my daughter and keeping my razr, the razr kind of reminds me of my star-tac, a good cell phone for carrying and making and or receiving calls. I'm not big on music, ringtones, texting, emails, or having the internet on my cell, i do have the navigator which works great.

I will be do for another upgrade next year at this time so i'll wait to see what i will upgrade too. My daughter's friend, so I've be told, has drop and bang her voyager around many times and it still works, so who knows what the final blow might be, i did take out the insurance on the voyager just in case.

So far it seems to be a great phone, it just has to many bells and whistles that i just don't need or use. I like a phone for carry, ear peace, camera, navigation app, and calls. I will do a review on the voyager in a few weeks after using it for a while.

Your question on whether it's worth getting, so far i think it's a great phone, but do you need it, and in the end it comes down to each his own. Some people need to have all the bells and whistles even if they don't use them. Good luck.
