LG Voyager getting slower

hello,
my phone was great when i got it and it seems to have problem after problem. grrrrr.
anywho, 1 of my problems is it seems to be getting slower and slower aswell as not sending text messages all the time and saying " messaged failed ".

my boyfriends blackberry has a setting where he can delete his cookies and temporary files from it.

just wondering if the LG Voyager has some setting where i can do the same thing, and will this maybe fix my text message problem.
