LG Voyager sound issues - headset earphones

I'm having a problem with my LG Voyager. I can't hear people on the other line during calls and they can't hear me. Apparently the phone thinks it's in earphone mode. (I can hear sound through earphones if I plug them like halfway in)

Is there a way to disable headset/earphone mode altogether on the LG Voyager?? Like through BitPim or any other method?
