LG VX4400 - Message Beeps

The VX4400 only beeps once when voice mail is received. My StarTak used to beep every few minutes, continuously until the voice mail was answered.

I was told by Verizon that there is no way to make the VX4400 beep periodically (every minute, or every 5 minutes, etc.) and that all the new phones are the same way.

Question: Does anyone know how to hack the phone so it will beep on a periodic basis until the voice mail is answered?
