I was wondering if anyone knows how I can text AIM from my phone. I know when somebody IMs me from their screen name that I can just hit reply & it'll work that way, but how can I start a conversation. Is it even possible?
Also, does anyone know where I can get free ringtones for it, or sample rintones. I wanna see if they'll work good & if I like it before I start to sink money into it. I tried googling poly ringtones, but that doesn't seem to work too well. I also have Verizon as a provider & they aren't compatible with many of the sites out there. PLEASE HELP

AIM
im assuming you have verizon, so connect to get it now (Menu-5-1) then select Get It Now then go to Get Messaging then the first thing...Mobile IM is free and it will let you go on AIM, Yahoo or MSN! Enjoy!

Yes, use MobileIM, it works great as long as you don't mind the text message charges.
As far as previewing ringtones...if you want to use GetItNow to download ringtones (which will be 1.99), Xringer lets you keep a demo version that lets you preview ringtones and it never expires. For the other ringtone services, like modtones, midiringtones, etc., they all have websites that let you preview them online before you buy.
If you aren't using Get It Now, look around the forum and I'm sure you'll find a lot of alternate ways to get ringers. I use bitpim and a data cable.

And I would love for it to use airtime instead of text messaging rates...it's too bad.

I meant that the program itself is free, unlike the games and ringtones and whatnot...sorry about the mixup!
