Lgvx6000 Vs Samsung A670

I was wondering if someone could help me out. Im trying to decide between two cell phones from verizon The SAMSUNG a670 the one with the camera and video and the LG VX6000 which seems to be very popular right now. basically i love gadgets and i want to have cool cell phone, but i want it to be practical.. I most likely probably wouldnt use the video on the camera all though it sounds like an attractive feature. I basically have a motorola t721 right now and i get more dropped calls than i can count and not to mention i barely hear the cell ring. its loudest ring is the LG's softest ring. So if anybody has either of these phone and could maybe give me their opinion or preference i would really appreciate it.

I have just received the Samsung A670 phone and it really sucks. I had a Motorola v60 and it was much better (at least from a phone perspective.) The Samsung does have a camera, but there are no PC cables. You can take video, but only stills are able to be sent to email addresses. The button on the side is only for taking pictures, but I am not an avid photographer. I use a camera for taking pictures and a phone for calling someone.

The LCD on the outside can be used for viewing the time or for assisting you in taking a picture of yourself. That's only if you can see yourself. My LCD is sooooooo faint that it is not even worth using (even to tell time).

Sorry, but I really don't like the phone so I don't have much good to say about it. If you want a new toy and play with it for about 30 minutes then this is great. If you want a phone, try something else.

It sounds like the last writer had a bad experience with his phone. My wife owns the older vx6000 and we just purhcased the new a670. The a670 is an all around better phone. It should be, it's newer. For the price, the Samsung a670 is the better way to go. As far as the external LCD on the a670, it is not faint. I use it for a caller ID. It can either display the name and number of the person calling or, if you have a picture assigned to the number, a picture of the person calling. It is a nice little feature. Also, the self portrait mode is great if you compare it against some of the alternatives, no self portrait mode at all, one with a tiny mirror, or a swivel camera head. Don't get me wrong, I like the vx6000. But after a full year or more with it, it begins to show its age more in design and features. I thought the external screen was pretty cool when we first got the vx6000, now it just looks primative. Both are good phones, but the a670 has the slight edge and would win my vote. This is coming from someone with both phones in use at the same time. Good luck with your final decision.

By the way, I also owned the Motorolla v60 two phones ago. Nice, but very old school. Its only real benefit was its size. The drawback was I couldn't punch the numbers with ease because I don't have petite hands. The version I had did not have an external screen at all so it must have been an older version. There is no comparison between the version of the v60 I owned and the vx6000 or the a670. All were fine phones in their day. I owned the v60 during 2000 and 2001. Again, good luck.
