ok.. i recently traded my phone for another vx6000.. was having these strange problems with my whitebalance when select "Darkness" mode. It does either:
a) Video Display stops and locks up
b) The video display is extra choppy and displays green and pink colors instead of normal coloring
c) works fine
I thought it was my last vx6000 so i traded it in for a replacment vx6000. It still does it. Can anyone tell me whats wrong? why is it doing this? I have tried it in all lighting.. it's just random.

that stuff happens to mine sometimes(not lock up, though). it only happens a little bit though. it could just be moving choppy becuase its trying to make a dark enviroment look light so the quality isnt going to be as good as if u had no whitebalance on.

i would guess that the reason it becomes choppy in darkness mode is because that's just the way camera's work. The video is constantly updating when in auto or any other mode, and with each update there is plenty of light to be let in so it doesn't need to update for very long... so no pausing.
but when it's in darkness it's telling itself to let in more light than usual, because there is less of it out there... so it's choppy.
it's kind of like changing the exposure time on a real camera. if you know anything about that.

yeah, i realize why it's choppy.. but the colors look like it's in Aliens Vrs Preditor man.. the colors are red, pink, and mostly green. The camera only works right like 10% of the time and when it does, it wont capture the picture, it makes the sound and then goes back to the menu.
