help a poor girl out

I recently just bought an LG data CD off E-bay and a usb cable that has driver software included. I am following all instructions step by step but QPST will only locate my phone the first time I install the program. If I dload a song then reset my phone, the next time I plug it in it won't read the phone. When I go to my device manager it isn't showing COM4 being in use as it was before when I first installed it. I know that the LG modem and Port is being used in COM4.... can you help me out at all?

If (on your computer desktop)
You right click 'my computer' icon, and select properties at the bottom of the menu
Then select hardware (on xp)
Then select device manager
do you see anything like (!) exclamations (usually yellow) under the com's ports when your phone is plugged in
(or under any of the other listed options)

Let us know what you can see - if you see exclamations then the drivers aren't installed properly and you may have to reinstall them....
