I have a LG VX6000 and need to know how to change the face plate. Removed the four screws but something else is holding the plate. Can anyone help.
    Thanks

look on the side of the flip you should see the split where the faceplate and the flip are connected. yuo need to carfully split those apart. and then the face plate should come off

To get the faceplate off you need a T9 screwdriver and I believe the screws are under the blue plasic notchs midway up the sides of the interior of the phone and the rhombus shaped blue plastic things on the bottom corners. So just unscrew those puppies and the faceplate should come right off in theory(unless they glued/snapped it on also), anyways i know its helld up by at leats 4 screws and if the faceplate doesnt have any place for screws to go your **** out of luck, i personaly wouldnt get a face plate just because i like the whole case to match. but i do have stickers on it like the BSD Deamon on the faceplate and an RTFM sticker on the battery.

when you open the phone the two small rubber pieces toward the top actually come out (pry them out) you will see the screws to remove underneath to change to faceplate, it took me a while to find this one out too, luckily by buddy works for verizon! (it takes a very small screwdriver) i think they call them a tork screw or something, call one of your verizon stores in your area and someone should be able to help you on most of the accessories for this phone!

Btw, Pitts is talking about the 7000 I think, since the first version of the phone was blue, now it's black.
