I recently aquired some information on how to access the hidden Web BROWER Settings. But unfortunately I couldn't recall 6-digit the Service Code.
Dial ##2769737 (##BROWSER)
Press Save.
You will then be prompted for a Service Code.
Well it's a start for anyone interested, I know I am, you can change your proxy settings, username and password, homepage, etc... just need the 6-digit code. And i really dont feel like spending the time guessing. someone else can though. unless of course someone cares to drop off the code cause they already know it...

I believe the codes are specific to each phone. Easy to obtain however if you have anLG 6190 data cable

Hey Chris, how did you get that code?

If you can access the filesystem with BitPim you can either do a Hex Dump of.. or simply save and open nvm_0002 - you'll see the 4 digit code there.
nvm_0000 gives you your 6 digit SPC lock code

It takes a few tries for me to be able to get the new settings to "stick", but even when it does, I always get back a 'connection failed' type of error.
I don't think changing the WAP settings will work with the Telus network...

its just a way of telling your cell phone not to go through telus, directly for internet, you directly indirectly got through telus. its basically just a way of saving money... depending on your service plan and how you look at things.

Telus and wap
You cannot use your own wap gateway on telus because they use what is called X1 for there internet services, this basically means that you have to go through their wap gateway to even see the internet.
correct me if i'm wrong.
