Skipping is an indication that the data rate has been exceeded.

Haven't tried to do this but know that as a player, the camera probably records/plays at a specific setting on the mpeg4 condec.

It could be either audio or video data rates causing this.

The best thing to do is download one to your computer and analyze it with a decent quality video editing program. You'll then have to match those export settings for any video you put on the phone.

Just a suggestion.

Do you have to have the pro version or just more tools from the free set?

I have a few questions about how you did that, actually. For some reason, my file size is always big, and I've only tested this method with a 49 sec. video clip. Now, if the size is, oh say, roughly 191Kb, how do you manage to put a whole movie on your phone? Secondly, I found that you can convert just about any video format you would usually use to 3gp, 3g2, etc. with Xilisoft's Video Converter. It seems to work great, except for, again, the file size seems kinda big. I'm not sure, maybe it's the way it should be, but if so, I don't know how you managed to fit a whole movie on your phone. I tried taking my 49 sec. clip and converting it with Quicktime like you said, tried it with Xilisoft's Video Converter, and tried it many times messing with the bit rate, size, frame rate, etc. and still can't see how it's possible to fit a whole movie on your phone when the smallest size I can get this clip to be is about 191Kb. (looking pretty crappy) Could you possibly post some specs. on it, such as the bit rate, frame rate, video size, etc. because this really has me stumped at the moment.

this page is for the 9800 but you can still use the converter. i converted a movie that was 700mb avi and converted it to 3g2 and it was only 161mb. the converter is very easy to use just drag and drop to convert.
