Unlock Lg C1300

I have an LG C1300I I need an unlock code for it REALLY BAD, I've been looking everywhere, if you could send the info to [email protected] It would be greatly apperchiated <-- probibly *****ed wrong, but seriously for the past 2 weeks non-stop looking for a soulution, I found that on this phone if you press 2945#*700001# then press menu 9, 5, 4 networks, then disable, it still asks me for a code, I don't know this code. this is the one that I would like to get from you, thanks a bunch. and if you could tell me how to figure the code I would help you even more in that case. Thanks

I have an LG C1300 and I had a huge run around.. some Cingular woman said I could get a code if I called 611, then when I did, they said no. Can someone help me out with a code?

ok, i'm starting to dredge up this old thread. here's my new info i found:

1.) let's start here. to reach the steps you're talking about you must in put the following:

2945#*70001#
Menu ==>
9 (settings) ==>
4 (security) ==>
4 (SIM locks) ==>
1 (network) ==>
2 (deactivate) ==>
"Restriction Code"

2.) This code is the problem. I've searched all over the net, but can't find it. I have however found some suggestions to getting it.

* (800) 331-0500 ==> This is Cingular's #. I talked to a rep online and was told that you can call and request the restriction/unlock code from them. However, it will take 5-7 days as it must be reviewed. The catch is, you must have a reason such as traveling to Europe and using a local prepaid SIM. They will need pretty much every # associated with your account to verify it (read: make sure the phone is not stolen). If your review is accepted, they'll email the code and unlocking instructions.

3.) LG has confirmed that this is the only way. You must have the provider supply the code. It is proprietary info that is not supplied to the customer service guys.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to try this unlock process. My phone is under my sister-in-law's name (long story behind that), and I can't get/don't want to get the info from her as it requires personal info. So if anyone tries this method, it would be great if they could post it back here (the code) so we can all try to benefit from it.

In the meantime, I'm going to be searching around some more.

costs $1.99, must enter serial #.

don't know if it works, don't have my credit cards with.

There are two ways that it could be done 1 get the number from cingular, 2 get a computer. Then the proper software.

OK guys, I finally got my cell. unlocked. The only problem is that they did'nt want to give me the code. What I did is go to an authorized dealer and told them what's going on, they unlocked it for me of course for the amount of $25.00, which I think it's not bad. I'm thimking that they send the cell. to U.S. since I,m living in P.R. and it took a week for them to returned it. I hope that it works out for you. Good luck.

I called Cingular for the unlock code for the LG C1300 and they gave me a code to enter *after* I insert a different SIM. 00728152. Worked for my unit.
