That would rock. Is everything on the sims card? Ringers, contacts, wallpapers, etc???

I am guessing it's almost like having a memory card. One good thing about let's say for instance my V710 is that, even without the memory card, the phone still works, and has all my important information on it. You phone won't work with the SIM's card in it right?

EDIT: Is your two years up on the 31st Jennie? Is that the end of your 24 months or is that the 22 month point? Because you can get a new phone at 22 months not 24.
Well, May 31st is 22months. I definitely called Verizon to check on that a little while back

Wow must be a real pain to change phones and not be able to take all your contact details to the new phone.....
For Sprint customers, one of the features of Voice Command is that your phone book is stored on the web , so if your phone is lost , stolen or destroyed you can easily transfer your contacts to the new phone.

On a GSM phone, if the phone is lost or stolen or destroyed, then isn't the SIM card gone, too?

Good point, you lose the phone, you've lost everything. Verizon has a new thing like Sprint has, they back up like your contacts on a server as well as having it all on your phone. It automatically updates itself also. So when you add a new number into your phone, a bit later it's automatically added to the Verizon Server. (It does cost though, I think it's like a $1.99 a month for the service.)

Yes the web based storage works well if you are trading phones as well. Really no need for a SIM card at all.

you should be able to put your SIM in the LG L1400, if its unlocked. To see if its unlocked:
    1) put in the chip and see if it works.

    or

    2) type the following on the screen: 2945#*70001#
    The phone will say <done>.
    Then go to:
    Menu
    (9) Settings
    (5) Security
    (4) Sim Locks
    (1) Network
    (3) Check Status
If the phone is not locked, it will say "off"

To unlock the phone, you can do the above, but after (1) Network hit
    (2) Deactivate. unfortunately I do not know the code for the phone that you would have to enter next. If any one has that info please post. If is is locked and you can't get the code, you can send it out to get unlocked for around $25.

I was wondering though...a long time ago, before I was 18 with no credit and my mom was teaching me "responsiblity" by not co-signing and having me use a prepaid phone, I came into possession of the cutes little LG flip phone, a 1400 i think. It's at home. And I guess my question is instead of putting the SIM card i have now, into the crappy phone they're sending me, Can I put it into my LG? Can the LG be unlocked? Is it something you can even unlock or use with a SIM? How do i go about this....should I even have my mom mail it to me at all? I feel like I can't focus on a thing with all of my cell phone drama?! Help! Any advice or info would be VERY appreciated! THank you!
