Wallpaper Woes -- LG L1400

Hello,

I've searched the search engines, I've read the forums (including all 18 pages of this one), I've experimented unsucessfully, and I've finally run out of ideas.

I've got a LG L1400 with a USB Data Cable and Handset Manager software from mobileaction.com. The carrier is Cingular.

Whenever I upload pictures, regardless of the dimensions, it never fills the entire screen. There's always a white bar around it.

Everything I've read points to the dimensions needing to be 128px x 160px, but even that leaves the ugly white border. I've tried larger, smaller, different aspect ratios... nothing has any effect on the presense of the white shroud.

The only pictures that take up the full screen are the photos taken with the phone (320x240 -- tried that size too), or the canned pics.

Does anybody have any ideas, or know of a trick?

I use DataPilot and resize to 128px x 160px and then it uploads without the white border.

I'm downloading DataPilot now...

Hopefully it'll work with the cable I have.
