New here could use some help.

I've been reading trying to figure out how to get my data cable to work to no avail.
I have the LG 1300 phone. I have the cable from cingular that is a com port cable. I downloaded the bitpim and it doesnt see my phone. I've read that you need drivers but all I see is for usb cables. I have ringtones on my computer I would like to get to my phone. I've read some people e mail them to thier phone, but again this I know nothing about. My provider is cingular. Beginning to think I bought the cable for nuttin. I would appreciate any help or info that can be provided.

Wish I could help, but i don't really even know what a data cable thing is, sorry for nothing

try setting the cable into the proper com port like com1 or com3. that was y mine didn't work.

I only have 1 com port and it shows its working fine.
