VX 8000 Help!!!!

Ok, so I just got the LG VX 8000 phone and so far I am having two major problems.

1. When I want to send a text message, it is in the Abc mode instead of the T9 mode. Is it possible to somehow save my preference and have it in T9 mode every time I want to send a text message?

2. Under call sounds, I recorded my own ringer, but obviously I messed up on a couple but I have NO idea how to delete the messed up ones. I have read the manual a few times and there it is pretty much NO help at all.

1) To set your preference on input type: Press the left top softkey twice. (message, then settings), then press 7. There you can set up how you'd like you text input to be everytime.

2) To delete unwanted ringtones (including a few factory ones), go to Get It Now, then go to Get Tunes & Tones. Once there press 3 (Ringtones). Then just scroll down to the ringtone(s) you'd like to delete and then if you'd like to get rid of them, press the top left softkey. To tell if you can delete a song, just highlight it, if erase comes up in the bottom left corner of your screen, you can delete it, if not, well then you can't.
