LG 1400 questions

hey all, first post here, i own a LG 1200 now and im looking at the 1400, is there any big diference between the 1400 and 1400i? and are the features better than the 1200? and one last question can you change the ringtone for the text message?

I think the main difference between the lg L1200 & the LG L1400, is the external display. On the 1200 it just has the blue screen and the 1400 has the color screen (65k color I believe). So that makes it possible to see the picture of the caller as they call you on the outside. Also, when someone calls whom you don't have already saved with a picture, it lights up blue and does a little cool circle display while they call. The messages show up green. The 1400 has infrared, and i'm not sure if the 1200 has it. Other than that, I don't think they have any other differences. I've had both and I prefer the color display on the outside with the 1400. I'm sure the 1400i has more features, but don't know which ones. For text messages, the phone already has around 5 or so sounds to choose from, you can't put your own ringtone, just pick one already on the phone for the sound. Hope this helps you.
