#1 | | Junior Member | I was wondering what was a good size of miniSD card to buy for use on a vx8100. I know the bigger the better but also the price. Is there really a need to buy a 1G or is a 256 or 512MB plenty big? Does anybody know about how many MP3's will fit on a 256 or 512MB?

#2 | | Cellular Superman | I have a 128mb as of right now but planning on upgrading to a 256mb this summer. The only reason I need to upgrade is because I'm planning on putting a lot more Mp3's on my phone.

#3 | | Daderator | On my 512, I have about 125 right now. Figure it this way, each mp3 song is about 4 to 5 megs. Some are a bit less, and of course some are bigger.
So if you figure it that way you should be able to decide how many songs you'd like to have on hand at one time, and therefore figure out what size card you need.

#5 | | Latitude Wireless | I assume miniSD is a tiny card for phones with an SD adapter ? If so, here in Canada they're called TransFlash cards. Anyways, to the point, most people find 128 more than enough. Afterall, it is a cell phone and assuming you use it to talk to people, your battery isn't going to last long enough on a single charge to play a 512 meg TransFlash card full of songs.

#6 | | Junior Member | Can someone explain how to get Mp-3's into the VX8100 and in particular into the minisd card. I have a bluetooth connection and can use BITPIM for things like ring tones. But how do you load a full MP-3

#7 | | Latitude Wireless | miniSD cards come with an SD card adapter. The SD card adapter then plugs into a universal SD card reader that connects to your computer via USB.

While they both have full size SD adapters, they are different form factors.
