LG "charger not compatible" message

I purchased a hands-free car kit for my LG 6100 (brand and model specific) and am receiving a "charger not compatible" message on my phone when trying to use it in my car. The phone will beep every 10-15 seconds until I turn phone off. If the charger portion of my hands-free kit is model specific, why am I getting this message and what can I do to correct the problem.

I don't know, but you should probally return it and get a new one. It may just be a defective charger.
