I know this may sound fairly dumb, because I don't really know much about technology, but I know that Bell Mobility and Telus Mobility are both CDMA, (or so I have heard). Does this mean that I could purchase an LG 535 from Telus, get it unlocked, and get it activated at Bell Mobility?

Question : Could I purchase an LG 535 from Telus, get it unlocked, and get it activated at Bell Mobility?

Thank You in advance for all your help!

Not long ago I had this discussion in the For Sale/Wanted forum because someone was trying to sell a Bell Mobility Treo 650 and implied that it would be no sweat to get it unlocked and use it elsewhere.

I did quite a bit of research on the subject before I responded to that person, and since you've asked about CDMA unlocking I have moved my post into its own thread.

    The truth about CDMA unlocking!
