hey, i have just bought a phone off ebay and it is asking for a lock code and i cant contact the seller..... it's a Nokia E61i.... can anyone help with resetting this?

Go to your menu and then go to settings. From there go to Phone Info to get your number. Try that for the lock code and if that isn't it exit out and call *22899 to reset the lock code. The new lock code will be teh last 4 digits of your phone number.

i forgot my lock code. if i dial *22899 does it erase all my contacts and call history and my txt messages and my pics. i need to know before i do it because i need all of that. and r u sure it would work on my phone i have lg vx8300? please help

its *228 or you can use *22807.. i never have heard of *22899... but no you will not lose anything it loads the newest prl and rests lock code to last 4 digits of phone number... for nokia user try pushing 3 as maby times as you can then hit the send key.. this worked for my nokia 6275i but it might not work for your nokia but want hurt to try.. for lg user if that does not work pm me and i can tell you how to get the lock code.

I have an LG VX5400 where the keyboard is unresponsive except for the PWR/END key. Any suggestions on what to try to get the phone working again?

If you still have a warrenty then take it back to VZW... IF no warrrenty and you don't have the money to send it to LG...

1st does it still boot up? programs working ok expect touch screen then maybe need new touch screen...

2nd if phone is acting up and not running right on top of touch screen not working then it may need to just be reflashed..

The phone boots up and can receive calls. I dont think there is a Touch screen on the VX5400 so I can not test that.

I plan to bring the phone to a Vz store to see if they can do anything.

it sounds like firmware issue.. if phone is still coverd vzw will replace it or fix it if its not reflashing it should do trick.... question did the phone get wet if so you could have blowen tracer fuse..... best regards

The phone did not get wet.

The phone is about 1.5 years old so I think the warranty is up.

Hopefully the local Vz store will reflash it for free.
