Info: This may help if you lock your phone and forgot the code

This MAY work on your VX series LG phones for verizon. it has been tested on my VX-9800 and my girlfriends VX-8100. all you need to know is your phone number.

This works on:
VX-8100
VX-9800

DO:
1. *22899
2. Let it reprogram your phone
3. Now your unlock code should be the last 4 digits of your phone number.

if you try this and it works on your phone please post what model phone you have and i will edit my post for the list of phones it works with, and if it doesn't work on your phone post that too. Thanx.

I was unable to get this to work on an LG VX-7000... I had better luck with

1.*228

2.Option #1

3. Reset Your Phone

4. Your new Lock Code is the last four digits of your cellphone number!

(I think that this way ONLY works with Verizon. If you call they don't recomend you to do this for some reason... But I think that they just want to get you into the store to pay... This way works just fine.)

Well, it did not understand that the 99 was option #1... It only worked when I chose option 1....

try it, im not a mod in this part of the forum so i can't edit my thread anymore to add other phones to the list. so try it and please just post back with the results.
