#1 | | Junior Member | i have the 1gig Card and up load them using bitpim. i save them to a folder in the card not to the phone it self.how many can i save on it before my phone blows up  i keep reading different things about it some say 6 and some say it doesnt matter

#4 | | Junior Member | i mean standard songs are under 4 megs mine however are all 10+ cause i rip them very high due to i can hear the differnce in 128 and 320 and wav and mp3 lol i have crazy studio ears :| but you should fit alot but like i said just the loading times i hear increase with the more files stored on sd atleast on the vx8100 thats what i heard | | |

#5 | | Daderator | Your ears may be studio ears as you say, but the phone cannot play anything over 128 as all mp3's are cut at that. Do not put wav files on the card, there is no reason as you can find the song in mp3 format, and of course digital is always better.
Most songs are around 4 to 5 megs in length. So deduct the few kb's the phone uses when it formats the card, and you can pretty much figure out how many the card will hold.
Yes, the more songs you have on the card, the longer it's going to take for the phone to index and then display them....common sense there.
To save time, make playlists of entire albums, or group songs accourdingly and then put them into playlists.
