lg ax5000 ringtones using cable

i have a lg ax5000 and i use the datapilot cable and software. when i first got the datapilot i could put mp3 on my phone. now that the software has been updated it wont let me. i did it not too long ago but i cant remember how. i know i converted to mp3 and simply changed the file extension to mid but it wont let me do it. any help is appreciated.

juss do what everyone else is doing.. download bitpim. and use the LG VX6000. I juss got the phone yesterday and i have a couple ringtones that no one has haha. hope it works. what i did is i let the bitpim detect the phone while it wasnt connected then i changed it to vx6000 and then i plugged it in and it worked.

whats up with the vx6000 and how can bitpim detect something without it being connected btw i have an agx5000 but telus edition so lg 200 would it still werk. also would the vx6000 setting work for my phone or should i just do other cdma phones and do you know of a site where i can get bitpim 0.62 cuz i heard the newest one is bad

IDK i think the AX5000 and VX6000 are pretty much the same. But use the VX6000 I dont think the other CDMA phone work and i dont know if there is a place wher you can download another version i just checked the website.

My problem is it can't find the phone at all. It says that it found another cdma phone, but it won't give any info on it or let me upload anything to it. This is the first time I have used a data cable for my phone. So far the only advantage I have seen is I can charge the phone while at the computer...
