Weird Stuff....

I recently went in to service my vx9800 due to a faulty vibrating motor... i got a new phone with my contacts switched over now ALMOST everything works perfectly. it seems as though i cannot connect to anything except texts and calls... i cannot get new apps, get picture messages, connect to the web, and i cant access my songs that were on the old minisd card (over 50 songs). I dont understand what the problem is, and i am just completely lost.. should i go back and ask them to see what the problem is, or am i missing something really easy and am wasting everyones time...

i don't have a vx9800, but sounds to me like they didn't activate everything that was supposed to be activated. Perhaps the OTA (other the air) programming didn't properly enable everything. i would give them a call and ask.

I Had The Same Problem And As The Post Above Stated They Did Not Activate Everything And You Will Have To Call Them To Fix The Apps. As For The Songs You Cannot Use Them On The New Phone They Can Only Be Used On The Phone That You Downloaded Them To Or If You Have The Software And Cables From Verizon And Put Them On Your Computer You Can Then Put Them On The New Phone.

Yep Try The Service Call I Had The Same Problem When I Switched My Phone Oline For Some Reason It Did Not Activate All The Features And I Could Not Get To Get It Now Or Mobile Web. The People On The Phone Activated It For Me Free Of Charge And Were Super Cool About Helping Me.

Okay, you guys have to stop typing with Caps In The First Letter Of Every Word. It's really annoying.

But yeh, bring it back to verizon, they didn't configure something correctly on the phone.

As for the music problem. When you got your new V, it more than likely had the latest software version on it and therefore will only play WMA or Windows Media files.

To solve this problem, do this:

open the phone and press OK to bring up the menu

press the 0 (zero)

its going to ask for a service code, press the 0 (zero) 6 times

you should now be in the Services area (be very, very careful in here)

scroll down to Music Setting (number 12) and press ok

use the directional arrows to highlight (move till the black dot) has MP3 & MOD selected and then press ok

once that is done, press the clear button till your all the way out of there, or you can press the end button.

Just to make sure it reset's, turn your phone off and then back on. You should now be able to see and listen to all the MP3's you have on your memory card.
