water damage! PLEASE HELP! =[

hi im new to this site .. but about last sunday i was at the beach with my friends and unexpectedly the shore reached us and all our stuff my lg vcast phone and ipod got wet! i just got it a few months ago! although my ipod is totally dead my cell phone can make calls and text but you cant hear the other person talking but the other person can hear me talking . the front screen in just blank white and you can hear the ringtones or anything i am veryy sad and i wanted to know what i can do i have no where to turn =[ i lost about 500 dollars in one day at the beach!

Remove the battery, open up the phone and let it dry out. Hope for the best.

Yeah, cross your fingers. It sounds to me like the speaker in the earpiece got damaged though. You could always try using a headset...maybe even a bluetooth headset. Get insurance next time!!

yea try to let it dry and hope for the best..My audiovox that i had got water in it..I took the battery of and let it dry and everything worked perfectly
