Record Conversation

Is there anyway to record my conversation on my LG CU500 by using the phone itself, i.e. no external recording devices such as mics

this seems pretty impossilbe. the phone has a recording device that can record audio for a limited amount of time. but the phone does not have the capability to perform two functions of this volume,( talk on the phone) and record, and does not have an application that would link the two.

the phones that might have a phone with this type of capability would be a a palm pilot or some highly technical phone like the treo's or the sidekicks, but i have not heard of anyone doing this, but that would be an awesome feature.

this would be an awesome feature. regular house phones have this capability, i have done it on mine, so i figure a cell phone company can be able to create this feature, but i am not for sure it anyone has

they likely don't WANT to create the feature because of the legalities.... Illegal wiretapping is still a crime

Why does it have to be the phone itself? I'm sure you could do it with the proper adapter coming out of the headset jack into an external recorder.

Exactly, it does say in some of the manuals that when you do recordings of parts of conversations, you are supposed to inform the other party that you are doing it. Taking it one step further, there is the audible beep so the other person is aware of it.
