After running into issues with my 2GB micro SD chip I did some searching around and discovered that indeed the limit of the vx8300 is a HARD 966MB.

I even let the phone format the disk and it quickly partitioned off half of the chip - windows cannot change removable media partitions.

So now I ended up with a 2GB chip formatted to 1GB - bummer!

I went back on line, googled my problem and was directed to the Panasonic SD format software which fixed my 2GB chip partition issue.

I then called Verizon service who didn't even know they were selling the 2GB chip and they told me that I could take the 2GB chip back and replace it with a 1GB chip - NOT THE ANSWER I WANTED TO HEAR!

I heard it will support 2 GB from different users, that's weird.

It will support 2 GB chips, but you need to get a software upgrade to do it. I'm not sure if that upgrade is out yet or not.

As long as your Chocolate is running the version 4 firmware (just released last week) it will fully support the 2GB card.
