Is there a Master Reset for VX-6100?

Hello to all,

I have used Bitpit in the past to load pix & phonebook info. Recently I have not been able to connect to the phone. (Bitpim tells me it cannot connect).
I also have noticed when I attempt to get to the photo's I already have loaded into the phone, the phone reboots!

Photo's I have taken with the on board camera are still intact,m & accessible.

I wonder if perhaps this area of memory is corrupt (speculation on my part) & maybe a master reset will allow me to start from scratch (if one exists).

Yes, there is a master reset, but I'm not sure where it is off the top of my head. Try going into the menu, hitting 0, then hit six 0's for the password. That's the first place I would look.

I was able to get into the menu, but did not find any master reset.

I did find menu items for Errors & Clear Errors under the Field Tests heading. I tried Clear Errors, but can see no difference in my problem.

Most of the menu items cause a power down when exiting, I assume this is normal as the phone gives me a message telling me it is powering down when it does so.

I was not aware this menu was even here! Great info, but I'm still at square one.

Yes, it's normal for the phone to power cycle after exiting that menu. I'll see if my store has a 6100 floating around. If we do, I'll put up some detailed instructions on what you need to do.
