Connecting through EVDO

several people at work are able to high speed internet through their Sprint phones / Sprint wireless cards at no additional fee... anyone know if that can be done with verizon / LG VX9800 ?

Sprint internet access via EVDO isn't free. It's at least $59.99 for unlimited with an air card (same as Verizon for existing customers). If you have a phone, the unlimited data is $49.99 through sprint vs. $59.99 through Verizon. You do need to get a data cable for your 9800 in order to use it as a modem. I don't know if it's nationwide, but my area is running a promotion so that the first month of internet is free. You need to buy the cable, but you don't need to pay the $59.99. Great opportunity if you want to see if it's worth it or not. There are no contract obligations if you're accessing the internet with your phone either.
