Ok so I found this on another site so I'm not sure if the mods here will appreciate me posting the link or not, but I couldn't find anything on here regarding how to create your own ringtones and putting them on the LG Fusic, so I found another source and got the how to. So if you're looking, here is the link with a step-by-step instruction (and it's extremely simple)

Here are the instructions and then I have put the link to the original post.

    1. Get the USB driver from Sprint. What you want is the "Sprint PCS Connection Manager for Phone as Modem/USB Cables." The only part you need to check to install are the LG Drivers. (Can be found at "Download Software" when you log into your Sprint account)
    2. Get BitPim from Welcome to BitPim. It doesn't fully support this phone yet but that's ok (I hope it will soon though so we can all edit the calendar, contacts and other stuff). Install, run, and in the menu under View, select View Filesystem.
    3. Now grab your phone and open the Music Composer under Tools. Choose Compose Melody, and pick a mode. It doesn't much matter since we're replacing this file anyway, but I've found that Keyboard Mode is quick. Throw in something short (1 note will do) and choose Save. Pick name for the song you'll replace this with, and get creative because you only get 21 characters. You can make a batch of these to replace if you would like.
    4. Back to BitPim, connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with it. In BitPim's Filesystem view, find the MelodyComposer folder under the root directory. You'll see a .pmc file and a .mid file for each melody you compose. Select the .mid and right click. Choose Overwrite, select the mp3 of your choice. I suggest you make it a 64kbps mono file for space considerations, but I've had success with other files. Large files also take a very long time to load over this connection.
    5. Set your ring tone under settings. The files you loaded will appear under My Melodies using the filenames you gave them.

Thx for that information. Do you know how to assign video ringers that you upload from a website or your computer?

I uploaded a 3gpp file that's actually a video ringtone. It plays on the phone. Problem is, I can't figure out how to set it as a ringer for either all my calls or a specific caller.

Thx for the info. I'm on it! As soon as I get it done, I'll let you know how it turns out. I'm so excited. I might be able to play these video ringtones I got after all!

    Re: Fusic Ringtones (How-To)

I have a question. Does anyone know if the Music Composer has a certain capacity number? because i am finding that after making about 5 ringtones, the next one i make in BitPim say they've finished overwriting but on my phone when i play it, it only plays for about one second but it says the song length 25 secons. Is anyone else having this problem?

Here is a little something I use on my Upstage and I think it works on Fusic. I'll try on my wife's and let you know. Can't post links yet. search Krizka how to make custom ringtones for the upstage and follow the link.

Bitpim recognizes my phone in two ports (modem & serial) but they are "unavailable" no matter where I plug them in.
    How can I use it?

If you are interested in composing with your voice and create notes out of it you should check out this new app that is developed as part of a degree project on the Nokia 5800!
