Lg Vx5300

I am curently at cingular, and I am going to switch to verizon, i noticed the v x5300, what are the pros and cons of this one

The VX5300 is a great phone. I'd say that the biggest con would be the lack of features. The camera is not high resolution, there is no video, and there is no ability for music playback. It is trimode and bluetooth capable. It gets excellent reception, and has good call quality. If you're looking for a phone, it's a great choice. If you're looking for bells and whistles, you might look into the VX8300.

I'm on my 4th VX5300. :-((

I like the features fine. But they must have some kind of manufacturing or QC problem.

They drain the battery like crazy when the phone is turned OFF ???? i.e., I have 4 bars when I turn it off at night, NO bars in the morning. This is the 3rd one that started doing this within 4 weeks or less.

Some of them turned the display on at night all by themselves. (It's kinda strange to get up to go to the john, walk past the dresser and see the phone screen just glowing away.

I'm not hard on phones and my old VX4500 lasted me for over 3 years. I had hoped a software bug fix would finally cure the problem, but it doesn't address it.
