I'm sorry, but I don't think it's a good idea. Not only will Qwest probably not activate it, it won't get that good of service.
CDMA phones are like old dogs. They can't learn new tricks or get used to new owners very well.
I honestly think it's best you start with a new phone. If you don't want to spend too much, the Sanyo 3100 is a REALLY good phone, and so is the Samsung A640. If you're looking for a deluxe phone, the Sanyo Katana or Nokia 6165i are not bad choices, either.
I'm sorry you can't use your old phone, but I think it's best that you don't.
