Micro SD Card (Verizon)

I downloaded a bunch of songs through V-Cast onto my microSD cardwhile using my Chocolate, them took my card and put it into the new 8600 and the songs are all coming up License protected, then it searches for license, and every time it fails.

Do I have to do something for the songs to be recognized by the new phone.

If anyone knows what I need to do it would be appreciated

The song's were licensed for the slider chocolate not the new flip chocolate. More than likely, they are going to say that you have to buy all the songs again (they being Verizon).

You can try and contact Verizon and see if they will release the songs to be played on your new phone...but I doubt it.

You should just download the songs you want onto your computer and then copy them to your MicroSD card, put the MicroSD card back into your new phone and enjoy.

If the phone won't recognize the song's in mp3 format, look around the forum here, and there is a fix to reset the phone so it will read mp3's as well as wma format.

When you download songs to your phone, you actually get 2 copies, 1 for your phone (lower bitrate, more compact file) and 1 for your PC (higher bitrate, larger file). Simply sync your 8600 to your PC or, as bossdragon posted, insert your MicroSD card into your PC's card reader and move the files that way.
