Question!! Vx8500 Getting music onto the phone

I know i know im an idiot. But i just cant seem to do it. Ive almost done everything i could. Ive installed the software correctly.. and now cannot sync music into the phone it keeps saying sync failed. i make the sync list etc... its not working .. after doing research i figured out that u can put the sd reader into a adapter for USB. So i did, i see alot of people that say to do just that and "drag and drop" music into the music folder of the removable disk. thing is .. ive done that and the phone doenst recognize the music files.. its ON the micro sd card but it doenst show up in the songs or anything. I usually dont have problems with these things.. i know the answer is probably going to be simple, but please make it obvious to me.. I already can take photos / videos OFF the card but not get music files that can play on the phone from my computer.. and yes there are supported file types such has WMA, MP3 .. etc.. help please!

You have to make sure the music files are put into the "my_music" folder on your MicroSD card. If not, the phone will not recognize them (or even see them). If you are doing this, I honestly have no idea why it's not working for you.

My micro SD card is on its way and I wanted to know what happened with your problem here. This may be a stupid question, but I was looking at the manual for my vx8600 and it says that I can just transfer music (in WMA FORMAT) to the "my music" folder on the formatted micro SD card. Now, I know that the vx8600 can play mp3s but is there an extra step that I should do in order for the phone o recognize mp3s? Or can I just transer the mp3s into the "My Music" folder just as I would with WMAs?

Your phone will play MP3 files with no problem. The only reason that your manual says "WMA format", is because Verizon has a deal with Microsoft to use Windows Media Player 10 to sync the music to your phone.
