Switching service on VX8100? Is it Possible?

Hi, We have two (2) LG-VX8100 phones that were part of a Verizon 2year contract. The phones have a small verizon logo on the bottom front of the phone. Our 2 yr contract is up now and we have been thinking about going with another service provider.

We love the phones and purchased the 512 mini sd cards for both, and use the mp3 function frequently. I just don't want to renew our verizon contract.

Can these phones be Activated by Sprint, Or are these phones Specifically Designed to work with Verizon Only?

Any info, comments, or activation tips Greatly appreciated.

They could possibly be activated by Sprint, if they chose to do so. However, it is highly likely that you would be required to purchase new equipment when you signed your new contract with Sprint. More importantly, the phones would be fairly useless on their network. You would not be able to use any of the data capabilities of the phone, including text and pix messaging. Honestly, it is just not worth messing with. Just buy the Sprint equivalent phone.
