I researched this phone on this website and had my reservations about getting it because I had read that some people have had problems with it freezing up and not ringing or showing a missed call. Got it home, charged it all up, and had my dh try to call me, NOTHING. Went straight to voicemail. We tried several more times with no luck. I am thinking of taking it back tommorow, or should I give it some more time? I don't need to be missing calls.

The LGVX5300 has had some problems--there is already a SW update for it so you could take it to your local corporate Verizon tech department and have them load the new SW onto it but if the same problems continue after that I would consider an exchange since you can do one exchange within 15 days to another make and model....

get something that is not offered as the free phone, unless it is a "higher end LG" I never recommend it (8500, 8600, 9800, 9900), anything else I have never cared for.
Except my classic tank 6000, in its prime.
