Please correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that Verizon crippled the Bluetooth on their phones (modern LG phones, anyway) so that it can't be used for much more than the bluetooth headset or syncing contacts/phonebook. |
You CAN use Bluetooth to do 1) Anything BitPim will do, 2) DUN...Dialup Networking, when you have purchased a phone data plan or employed "phone hacks" to your handset.
Bluetooth does NOT work with Verizon Music Essentials Manager. I think they crippled the
drivers not the phone.
Obviously, you need a bluetooth adapter for your computer if it isn't already built-in. (They're $7 on e-Bay...but better ones will cost more like $35...the ones on e-Bay are often "counterfeit" hardware all using the same MAC address and can't be upgraded.)
Having said that, you sure as heck don't want to be using Bluetooth and BitPim to upload music to the microSD card. It's
much too slow.
The Music Essentials kit comes with a cable, drivers and software that will allow you to Sync the phone. Using a card reader is faster, as noted in the post above.
Hope that clears it up for you!
