OK I just bought an LG vx8300 on a new verizon plan well I read that you have to unlock the phone settings with the undocumented command Verizon doesn't tell you about. Well I did all of that to try & enable mp3's, but it just comes up & says not available? Am I doing something wrong? Or will this be fine? I just ordered a data cable for it & will be getting an micro sd card for it. I want to upload some ringtones & store some music to listen to. Is it all set to go or do I need to do something else? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx | ||||||

The 8300 will play MP3 and WMA files by default. You do not need to enter the factory settings. In fact, you do not want to enter the factory settings without some basic knowledge of what all the settings will do to your phone if you screw them up.
