Lg 8600 Sd Card Format Failure

I recently switched over to Verizon from Cingular, and got the 8600..I had a cu500 with my 1 Gig microSD and it worked fine..I'm trying to use the same card in my current phone but it will not work. I tried erasing everything off the phone, formatting it in my computer using its card reader..still nothing, every time I go and try to format the card in my phone it says failed..any suggestionsss??

Be more specific as to how you know it's not working on the 8600. Are you trying to open a file or save one with it?

1. Try formatting as FAT32 in the computer
2. Insert in the phone and try RE-formatting as it needs to create some directories.
3. If it reports that it is locked, your last 4 digits of the phone number should work to unlock it.

I've never had this problem, but I've seen it in other posts.
