LG VX8600 USB Cable - Charge Battery?

Is the LG VX8600 capable of charging with a USB cable while plugged into a PC??

I just ordered a cable online,... just wondering.

Sure, it will take about a day to fully charge, but it should work.

I had a cable that came from the VCAST music software for this phone and it had a port in the middle of the cord (between the phone and the computer) to plug the charger into. I don't know if the phone was actually charging before I plugged the electric charger into it while I was downloading (wasn't really paying attention). I just thought it was an odd design.

When you plug your home charger into the USB cable that is included in the Music Essentials Kit, you are actually charging the phone. However, the cable by itself will not charge the phone in any meaningful way. That is to say, it will charge, but it could take up to 24 hours to fully charge (as opposed to 2 or 3 hours).

Thanks for the info This is my first LG - always had Motorolas. Getting used to all the little differences. I can't say I'm disappointed in what I'm finding. But once in a while it has me scratching my head.
